Two Days of Relentless Work – Event MACA Ride 200 – 2024

The MACA Ride 200 is more than just a cycling event; it’s a powerful movement of people coming together to support cancer research by Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. Over two intense days, covering 200 kilometres and nearly 2000 cyclists, our team at Sky Perth had one goal: to capture the energy, emotion, and essence of this monumental event.

The Power of Teamwork

For such a large-scale event, we pulled together an expert team of 9 professionals, a combination of photographers, videographers, and drone pilots, to ensure every moment was captured. Our focus on teamwork and collaboration allowed us to cover the event from all angles, with both ground-level and aerial shots. Each member brought their unique expertise, ensuring the event was documented with precision and creativity.

Non-Stop Coverage and Same-Day Edits

Our team worked nonstop from the early morning start to the final finish line on day two to capture every key moment. This involved not only filming on the go but also creating same-day edits that allowed event organizers to share highlights in real time. Our ability to quickly turn around high-quality footage during the event is one of the reasons Sky Perth stands out in the field of event production.

Curating Over 4 TB of Imagery

By the end of the event, we had collected over 4 terabytes of footage, including more than 10,000 photos! Our team will carefully curate and edit this immense amount of content to ensure that only the best moments are selected. The curated content will then be used to create a stunning final film, which will be played at Optus Stadium in November. This film will bring together all the highlights, capturing the passion, spirit, and dedication of everyone involved in the MACA Ride 200.

Bringing the Event to Life with Aerial and Ground Coverage

The event wasn’t just about cycling but about community, resilience, and hope. Using state-of-the-art drones, we captured the scale of the ride from above, showcasing the sheer number of participants and the beautiful landscapes they traversed. Our on-the-ground team worked just as hard, ensuring that every rider’s journey, from their challenges to their triumphs, was documented.

Why Sky Perth for Large-Scale Event Production?

The MACA Ride 200 may have spanned just two days, but the impact of what we captured will last a lifetime. With over 4 TB of imagery and 10,000 photos to work with, our final film will be a powerful tribute to the event and the people who made it happen.
